Hello all!  We wanted to give you an update on where things stand.  As you may know, the Governor has set up a phased plan to get Nevada open again, including an opening plan for gyms.  This statement is based on the Governor’s current guidelines.

As we all know, things can change quickly in this environment.  We are closely monitoring the Governor’s and CDC’s guidance and if anything changes, we will be first to let you know.  Nothing is more important than your health and safety and we will take every precaution before we open up the doors to you at Performance EDU.

We will reach out to you soon with more information on the gym’s opening date, our plans to follow CDC and state health guidelines, and all the new and exciting things we have planned at the gym.

Performance EDU Fitness plans to reopen with the following COVID-19 protocols in place.

  • No more than 10 people will be allowed in the facility at one time.

  • Due to Capacity issues, we will not be holding groups in Phase 1 or 2. In place of groups,  we will be holding U-FIT sessions. The times and days have not been determined. Each member will have to sign up for the U-Fit class, the class will be 30 minutes in length, there will be a roaming coach on the training floor and multiple times throughout the day. There will be a 10 minute buffer between each time block so we do not have too many people in the facility.

  • Personal Training will begin at 7 am and run till 7 pm. We will not hold shared training sessions due to capacity issues.

  • If we hold stretching on the tables, Performance EDU will give out face masks to the members and the coaches will also wear masks.

  • Trainers WILL wear masks during all sessions.

  • Stretching tables will be designated in 6 foot spaces.

  • Everyone will use hand sanitizer and or will wash their hands before their session on the training floor.

  • When you walk into the facility, take a spray bottle and a towel during your sessions. When you are finished, place the spray bottle and towel in the designated area.

  • If you have children, please call and ask if there is allotted room for them to be at the facility. They will have to wear masks when they are in the waiting room where they will be spaced appropriately.

  • An outdoor waiting area will be established and spaced appropriately.

  • Parents of older children, whose children are comfortable with instructors and protocols will be encouraged to remain in their car or stay at home.

  • Enhanced disinfection protocols will continue to occur but frequency will be raised, disinfecting high-touch surfaces.

  • Our shower will be closed through phase 1.

  • We will not be administering towel service during phase 1 and 2, please bring your own towel.

  • The bathroom will be available with soap and water and toilet.

    • Once the bathroom is utilized, please spray down toilets and sinks with sprays given by Performance EDU.

  • Clients and caretakers who are exhibiting symptoms should remain at home.

  • Prohibiting use by anyone with communicable diseases or anyone who has been ill with vomiting and diarrhea in the last two weeks.

  • If you are in the high risk population, we and the CDC recommend you do not visit gyms until a vaccine is available. Ultimately it is your choice.  If you choose to come to the gym, please contact your trainer ahead of time to discuss details.
